The activity of the Piezoelectronics Department concerns the following areas:

1. Measurements of elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric constants of new piezoelectric crystals.
2. Calculations and measurements of Surface Acoustic Waves (SAW), pseudo SAW (PSAW), Surface transverse Waves (STW) and Acoustic Plate Modes (APM) in piezoelectric crystals.
3. Design and manufacture of acoustic wave components for applications in telecommunication and piezoelectric sensors.
4. Research works on acoustic wave viscosity, temperature and pressure sensors.
